What is CBD?

CBD also is known as cannabidiol which is the second most abundant cannabinoid molecule produced by the hemp and cannabis plant. Cannabinoid compounds are found in the hemp plant, CBD is just one of many.

What is the difference between CDB vs. THC?

CBD is non-psychoactive, meaning that CBD does not alter the mind or body but does stimulate activity in both receptors in the endocannabinoid system. THC, on the other hand, binds with our receptors in the brain, which produces a sense of euphoria (psychoactive).

What is the Endocannabinoid System?

Endocannabinoid system is a molecular system that your body uses to regulate and perform various critical functions. The endocannabinoid system is tasked to balance a wide variety of physical functions such as mood, appetite, sleep, hormone production, nervous system, and immune responses. As humans, we have natural cannabinoids that chain throughout our bodies. The main two receptors associated with the endocannabinoid system are the CB1 and CB2 receptors. CB1 -Central nervous system, found mainly in the brain correlates with coordination and movement, pain, emotions, and mood, thinking, appetite, and memories, among others. THC attaches to these receptors. CB2 -common in the immune system, affect inflammation and pain.

What are Terpenes?

Terpenes are organic compounds found in a variety of plants and contribute to their flavor, scent, and color. Terpenes are aromatic molecules that evaporate easily and promptly announce themselves to the nose. These substances are the building blocks for essential oils and are often used in food additives, perfumery, and aromatherapy. Some are even thought to have medicinal properties, and to help in fighting bacteria, fungus, and environmental stress. Terpenes interact with cannabinoid receptors they can assist or hinder the effects of cannabinoids.
